1. ATTIRE:
– Please wear appropriate clothing for sessions: leggings (without zips) and fitted tops, along
with grippy socks for Reformer and equipment sessions (or regular socks if grippy socks are
unavailable).
– No jewellery is allowed as it can get caught on the equipment.
– Hair must be tied back to prevent it from getting caught in the equipment.
– Bring a water bottle to the session.
– Please note – there are no bathroom facilities available at the Home Studio.
2. HEALTH AND SAFETY:
– Complete the Client Enrolment Form accurately. Medical clearance is required if you have
any medical issues and have answered “yes” to any related questions.
– If you feel light-headed, dizzy, faint, nauseated, or experience pain or discomfort, stop the
activity immediately and inform the instructor.
– The results of any Pilates or fitness program cannot be guaranteed. Your progress depends
on your effort and cooperation both in and outside of sessions.
– You must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs during any sessions. Anyone judged
to be under the influence will be required to leave the session.
3. HEALTH CHANGES:
– Inform the instructor before starting any session if your health or ability to exercise has
changed.
– It is inadvisable to do Pilates between 8 to 14 weeks of pregnancy unless arranged with your
instructor. It is also recommended to wait 6 weeks after childbirth before resuming exercise.
– Consult your doctor before starting Pilates sessions, especially if you have any health
concerns.
4. SESSION TIMING:
– Sessions are often booked back-to-back. To maximize your one-hour session, please arrive
on time. If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time.
– In exceptional circumstances, if you arrive late for a private session, it may be rescheduled.
Please note that as duet sessions are shared it is important to be punctual as these cannot
be rescheduled if one participant arrives late or does not attend.
5. EXERCISE GUIDELINES:
– Exercise at a comfortable pace. Pain is a warning sign and should not be ignored. Inform the
instructor immediately if you feel discomfort during or after a session.
– Hands-on correction is part of Pilates exercises, and you consent to this method.
6. PAYMENT AND EXPIRY DATE:
– Payment must be made in full at the time of registration.
– Each package and pass have an expiry date. Please ensure all sessions are used within this
time period.
7. CANCELLATION POLICY:
– 24-hour notice is required to reschedule a session; otherwise, the session will be charged in
full.
– However if the instructor needs to cancel a session, it will be rescheduled or refunded as
appropriate
.
8. REFUND POLICY:
– All packages and passes are non-refundable, and refunds will not be issued for unused
sessions (either in their entirety or part thereof) within a pass’s expiry date.
– The only exception to this that will be considered is if there is a formal medical diagnosis
that prevents you from continuing with the scheduled block of sessions.
– A request for refunds under this condition must be accompanied by appropriate
documentation and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
9.. LIABILITY:
– These sessions are not a substitute for medical counselling or treatment. The instructor is
not a qualified medical professional.
– The instructor is not liable for personal injury related to participation in a session if:
– Your doctor has advised against such exercise.
– You fail to observe safety or technique instructions.
– The injury is caused by another participant’s negligence.
10. DATA PROTECTION AND COMMUNICATION:
– The information provided in the Client Enrolment Form will be used for teaching purposes,
stored securely, and kept confidential.
– Information will not be shared with third parties without written consent, except with
another Pilates teacher who may teach you.
– You agree to be contacted with information on classes and other Pilates-related activities.
You can withdraw this consent at any time.
– Data may be retained to comply with professional, legal, and insurance requirements.
